Halloween things to do with kids in Dublin 2026

Nipper · 14 October 2026

A castle ghost tour, a Dracula trail through a museum and a teddy-making workshop at Croke Park are all on for Halloween 2026. These are the family events we have confirmed in Dublin, with dates and prices.

Craic from the Crypt, Ardgillan Castle

From 22 October to 1 November, the Taylor family ghosts return to Ardgillan Castle in Balbriggan. You follow them through the castle's rooms while family squabbles, local history and chilling tales unfold. Tickets are listed at €12, and costumes are welcome. It suits older children who like a proper ghost story. Book on the castle's site.

Beware of Dracula, EPIC

EPIC, the Irish Emigration Museum at the CHQ building, runs a Halloween family tour from 26 October to 1 November. The group looks for clues around the galleries to find Dracula, learns about Bram Stoker's life and stops for a storytelling session. Tickets are listed at €24.

Teidí Tours at the GAA Museum

From 24 October to 1 November, the GAA Museum at Croke Park runs a Halloween teidí workshop plus a family tour of the stadium. Each child makes a teidí to take home, picks a name and gets a 'bearth' certificate. Tickets are €10.

Halloween Activity Day, Rediscovery Centre

The Rediscovery Centre in Ballymun runs hands-on activity days from 21 October to 3 November. Children hunt for spiders and bugs, pick and carve pumpkins, make mini scarecrows and build fancy dress from recycled materials. See the centre's page for prices and booking.
